Alexa Alice Joubin will be speaking to us in an interactive session about how to fight anti-Asian racism through film and TV.

     Obviously, this is timely with the recent Oscar wins by Asian filmmakers and actors drawing attention to Asian (American) film as a genre. She’ll be sharing short clips from different films in an effort to show us our habits and thoughts. She’s passionate about fighting racism and misogyny, and published a book called Race (Routledge, 2019), a compelling study of ideas related to race throughout history.
