This is a general education course that introduces students to Shakespeare’s romance play, histories, tragedies, and comedies and their adaptations on screen. We will explore themes such as travel, race, gender, sexuality, colonialism. Students will acquire essential tools for enjoying Shakespeare’s plays as both dramatic works and films. This course is for everyone. No prior knowledge is required.
